The approach I've taken for this set of studies is to utilize the advantage of symmetrical design which transforms the ordinary into something quite different.  The reason for this is derived from my fascination with kaleidoscopic images which does the same thing.

Each image created becomes something other than what it was, enabling me to observe features that stand on their own, sometimes without direct reference to the orginal source.  This then helps to focus attention on important details that may stimulate the development of new ideas and approaches to the work that I do.
