sinking the form

Right now the portion I was working on needs to be tweeked just a little in the dishing block.  I'm using the outer rim as a sort of stake and am curving the form just slightly beyond the ridge.  I'm now just about ready to sharpen the edges that I've  been working on.

Ideally, I should apply pitch to the inside of this shape and use my chasing tools to work on the piece from the other side.  Unfortunately I don't have enough pitch made up right now to cover all of this area so I'm going to do something else  that may disturb some purist folks and maybe delight others who like the techno stuff.  Later I'll use the pitch.

It's time to use a pneumatic tool.
