October 1999

I've just launched a new site on a different server featuring my services as a web site designer and developer.  Hopefully this will turn things around for me and perhaps I can then return to the studio to continue my own work without experiencing the recent disruptions I've encountered.

I'm currently designing a few sites now for others and look forward to obtaining more work in this field.  It seems promising at the moment.

Crocus Design Works is a company I had registered years ago and now it's revamped as a web site development operation rather than a design and consulting firm.  This company is now partnered with the Web Site Project, a new operation that Gabriel Romeu and I have just started for web hosting, design and development.

Check it out if you're interested:

I mentioned another new venture in the works in the what's new section of this site.  I'm starting up a distance learning instructional resource center. It's called ArtTeach.com and it will be quite a while before that is launched.

I may be bringing in some partners on that venture and will have more to say about this in the future. Initially I thought it could be a straight forward kind of program that I could develop alone until I saw just how complex it's going to be if it's to be meaningful.  I can do some multi media work but not everything.  Now I have to think about video training tools as well as cd-rom and hard copy supplements.  Well, I'll see how it goes.
