a monthly journal of sorts

January 2000

I haven't done any new work for this site but have been spending the past month designing a new website for Romeu-Richard Furniture as well as developing some resources for the ArtTeach.com site.

Finding and checking out useful and functioning links for the ArtTeach.com site is one tedious process and not a whole lot of fun for me to do. However this work is very important and I'm hoping that within a couple of months that the new site will become a genuinely useful resource, if only as a portal pointing to other sites of interest.

I don't know yet when I might be able to start a new mini workshop for direct metal work but when it is initiated it will be hosted on the sister site rather than here.

I've also been in touch with Valerie Wiehman who is a top notch welding instructor as well as a sculptor. She is offering a one week workshop this coming May that emphasizes welding  techniques and proceedures specifically for sculptors.  I highly recommend this to anyone who might be interested. E-mail her for more information - vweihman@madison.tec.wi.us (Valerie Weihman).

I'm hoping that I'll be able to be at that workshop to work with Valerie on developing an on line version of her course.  If successful, then I'll upload the course into the ArtTeach.com site.

Well, it's hard for me to make definite plans that are too far in advance but for now that is something I want to plan on.

The new millenium is upon us now and I'm at a loss to offer any predictions for the coming coming months or even years.  Thank goodness for that because most seers are usually off base anyway. It's better to anticipate the best, whatever that may be and simply follow the morning sun.
